On behalf of myself as the Headteacher, the governors, staff and pupils of Bishopston Primary I would like to welcome you to our school.
Our motto is “to care for one another and be the best that we can be”, it underpins our commitment and dedication to achieving excellence in all areas of school life. We firmly believe that the basis of being the best we can be is a caring and supportive environment. The two are intrinsically linked.
We place great emphasis on developing a strong partnership between home and school; it is through working together in an atmosphere of mutual respect and support that we can provide what is best for our children, in order that they may be happy, enriched and fulfil their potential.
We are proud of our caring, happy and friendly school ethos and the achievement of our pupils in a whole variety of fields. All the staff at Bishopston Primary are fully committed to building your child’s confidence and preparing them for a lifelong journey of discovery and learning.
Bishopston Primary places a strong emphasis on the Pupils’ Voice – we do our best to empower them to move the school forward. As facilitators we nurture and guide, always encouraging the pupils to be the best that they can be.
Everything we do with children in our care is based around these 4 core purposes:
Mr J. Owen
‘The school has a positive ethos in which all feel valued and respected’.
‘The level of care, support and guidance is a strength of the school. Pupils feel valued, safe and secure within the schools nurturing environment.’ The partnership with parents is a real strength of the school’.
