Speech Link and Language Link assessments are carried out on all children in foundation phase. They can be carried out throughout the school where a need is identified. The assessments allow us to identify any areas of need or difficulty for a child. Where a weakness is identified, that child will then attend regular speech or language intervention. Targets will be set and regular assessments and reviews had in order to ensure progress is made.
