Charity Work

Crisis - the national charity for people experiencing homelessness.

Christmas is a crucial time to help homeless people.  If we can help people through the winter – with food, care, advice and help with a safe place to stay – we can help someone start their life beyond homelessness.  Our Christmas activities work alongside the specialist support we provide all year, which includes helping people to find their own stable home as well as access to education and training.

At our Crisis Skylight Service in Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot we are offering additional activities this winter and items and would really appreciate your support.  We will be offering:

  • Gift hampers including festive food parcels
  • Hot meal at our Crisis at Christmas celebration event at our Crisis Skylight
  • Wellbeing events over the festive period

If you’d like to get involved, please consider collecting items such as the ones listed below, it would make a huge difference.  The items can be dropped off at our Skylight offices or someone could collect them from school.  We would love to have both food and clothing to give people.  For example:

  • Tinned items (with a long shelf life)
  • Tea, coffee, hot chocolate
  • Sweet treats – chocolates, selection boxes etc
  • Savoury treats – nuts, crackers, crisps etc

  • Warm Coats (in good condition or new)
  • Gloves, scarves & hats (in good condition or new)
  • Underwear (new)

Please bring any donations in a bag, we will put things in the school halls and then ask Crisis to collect them.

Items are also available to order from our Amazon Wishlist.

If you would like to donate items or find out more about our work in the area, please don’t hesitate to get in touch
