ESTYN

Estyn is the education and training inspectorate for Wales. Its name comes from the Welsh language verb estyn meaning “to reach (out), stretch or extend”.

Our last inspection was in November 2019, we were graded as ‘good’. We’re on a journey as a school, we felt that was a fair judgement. If you would like to read the report, click the link below.

Estyn inspects quality and standards in education and training providers in Wales using the Common Inspection Framework. There is one framework for all schools, independent specialist colleges, pupil referral units and work-based learning providers.

Estyn will inspect all providers at least once during the seven-year period which began 1 September 2016. The date of the next inspection is not linked to the date of the previous inspection. Estyn give three weeks’ written notice of inspection to schools.
