Christmas 2023

The Christmas season is the busiest time of year for the PTA and we would really appreciate your support again this year. 

Please bring in your donations for the hampers...

Now - 28th November please can we have donations of decorated and filled sweetie jars for the tombola at the Christmas market - see poster below for more info…. 

Lantern making kits can be bought at Northway garage with everything you need to make your perfect lantern for the parade on 1st December as well as a helpful ‘how to’ video. Limited stock available so get in quick! We would love it if you could help on the night, just half an hour on a stall / Santa‘s grotto would be amazing! Please get in touch and we can rota you in. 

After these events, our focus will be on Christmas hampers which will be raffled off during the Christmas shows. Details of preferred donations from each class will be coming soon! Last year we made over £1200 so please do show your support; we are getting so close to our fundraising goal and will soon hopefully be able to purchase the playground equipment in the foundation yard.

The Valentine's Disco

It was lovely to see so many faces at our Valentine’s disco this year. ❤️ Together we raised just over £520 🙌 

The Golden Raffle

Each year, the PTA approach local businesses and organise a huge raffle, with some pretty amazing prizes. This year, there is a star prize from Cadog Homecare Ltd is a Smyths Toys voucher for £250! Check out the videos below to see what other prizes our amazingly generous local businesses and parents have donated.... 

Hamper Raffle

Parents have been asked to donate items to create some wonderful Christmas Hampers. Tickets for the raffles will be sold when parents come to watch the plays. At the end of each show, the raffle will be drawn.

The Lantern Parade 

The lantern parade is an annual event which has been a huge success. Parents have been able to buy lantern kits to make with children and then joined together as a community to walk from the school, through the village to the Christmas light switch on in Murton Green! 

A great event which raised just over: £1,000

The Halloween Disco

Children were able to come to the school, dress up and have a boogie to the DJ. Lots of sweets and treats were on offer as well as face paints and tattoos.

Fun Run

Children love coming to this one! It's fancy dress, children do laps of the school field to raise money while having a bit of fun - and improving fitness! This year, the weather was very hot so the PTA had some fun with Super soakers!!

This event raised over £825

Ice Lolly and Uniform Sales

Through the summer term, the team use a good weather Friday to sell second hand uniform, books and ice lollies. It's super simple but brings a lot of families together and who doesn't love an ice lolly afterschool?? The sale runs from 3:00pm on the Friday.
